Matt Stallard began his musical career playing snare drum in his
middle school orchestra. He later switched to bass and taught himself
classic rock tunes. His tastes later expanded to include jazz, reggae,
funk, folk and bluegrass and in 1999 he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia
to pursue music full-time. He has become a fixture on the scene playing
with a myriad of artists in several styles and, when not performing,
pursues his reading and writing interests.
